Another song that’s on repeat! It’s rare that I’ll watch a music video (that isn’t Beyonce) the whole way through, but this one was amazing. Love Robyn (love her collaborations with French pop-tart Yelle as well) and love this song. Everyone knows someone who has been in the situation, and on the real, it’s both danceable and meaningful. And I say that ‘meaningful’ bit with authority, because I listen to a TON of danceable crap. (ALSO! Click ‘more’ to see the hilarious Taran Killam from SNL’s rendition of this video in the SNL writer’s room at 4:30 am. Gold.)
Hi everyone! Great weekends, right? Despite a head cold from hell, it was still homecoming here and everyone was festooned in maroon. Go Rams. ALSO! It’s a Jewish holiday, Rosh Hashanah, so L’shana Tova to my Jewish brethren. AND ON TOP OF THAT, it’s my Dad’s birthday. He is very cool beans, literally the best man I know, so no pressure every other one on the planet.
It’s my last week in London until July, so to celebrate, all posts this week are British-theme. Jammy Jams will be Briths, the Marry Me will be a Brit (not Daniel Craig or a royal unless they do something awesome) and Bad Birch Advice has some travel tips for London! (Take with a cube of sugar, chums). But what happened this weekend? Ch-ch-Check It Out!
New recurring segment! Or it will be when it actually recurs! Basically, this clip has every single thing in it that I love about comedy. Weekend Update is easily my favorite part of SNL, and the combination of Fey and Poehler is my favorite comedy duo of all time. I love me some Liz Lemon and some Leslie Knope but sometimes I just think:
So, without further ado: The Great SNL joke-off of 2011.
PS: Mmm Seth Meyers for this week’s Marry Me? So possible.
